Across the great central Perth to Alice

Across the great central Perth to Alice

Well what can I say but I made it into Alice this is the only wild life we saw so they lived to see another day can't say to much about the jeep got a flat just  be for  Warburton and the fuel station had closed at 3pm forgot about the time difference  manage to push on with the extra fuel on board ...... The next day the road was that badly corrugated that I lose my number plate and bracket ...... I got back onto the black tar and the engine light and also the anti skid light came on WTF now !!!!!! Took it to a dealer here in Alice and they wacked it onto the machine to tell me that there is a broken wire going to the cam sensor it will take a week to get the part in ...... But I can drive it in limp mode to get home so if you don't hear from me I will be on the great central road !!!!!

yep its stock at the moment apparently the wiring harness has a known fault and this is where it has broken off near the cam sensor to fix it you have to pull all the intake manifold of on the left hand side of the motor ...

all along the great central road is broken down cars about every 2km and they range from 75 series to 100 series landcruisers parado,s holderns  commodores fords vans Utes  caravans and trailers a lot of them on their sides or on their lids .......

tyre pressure

Fri, 2017-10-06 13:15

maybe its better to let some air out the tyres to help with corrigated roads?

Sure is

i Iike it how the cars are completley rusted out yet the chrome bumpers are still factory fresh. Most of the cars that are on their sides or roof are usually minus the gearbox, seems to be the way the " bush mechanics " take em out. Awesome part of the world though.

Update home now !!!

Sat, 2017-10-07 21:15

yep dropped the air pressure down to 28 psi to handle the corrigations ...... well two cars rolled in front of us a Colorado and a two hundred series's landcrusier .... that track was brutal to all vehicles, but we managed to drive through with it in limp mode ..... the worst part was the hills coming into Northam to mundaring had to change gears a lot as it wouldn't let me go over 2.5000 rpm  ...... got to say I would do it again stopped Into a lot of good spots to camp ......
