Strong Large well priced SP's

Gday FW People....

I'm trying to weed out the crap SP's I have and stick to ones that last... I'm not worried about scents I just want something that can handle more than one decent hit without having its tail chewed...

I have a few Zman 10x and they are the go but can't find them in the sizes and colours I'm after... So if someone has been using something they can recommend, advice will be appreciated...

Also when rigging bigger SP's are guys rigging with keeper hooks? If so how? I thought about somehow using single strand wire but haven't completely come up with a plan as yet...

Cheers

Tim

 I've been using lunker city

I've been using lunker city paddle tails for a bit. Seem to last well. I have rigged them with a stinger but most fish were still hooked on the jighead.

I like the largest Squidgy

Thu, 2014-07-31 06:24

I like the largest Squidgy Flickbaits and I am guessing the new whipbaits will be good (havent fished them as yet). As mentioned above the Z Man are also very good just like the old Snapbacks

I feel that these SP hold up pretty well apart from when the reel toothy fish have a crack at them.

Mcarthys catch fish but they

Mcarthys catch fish but they also dont last with the pickers, constantly losing tails. wouldve though there was enough in the zman range to keep you happy? Check out the colour and style range on the zman site and ask your local tackle store to order them in for you, or buy online even

I have seen some monster

Fri, 2014-08-01 12:54

I have seen some monster SP from the US from a mob called Boneyard Baits. Big curl tail grubs and the like which look to be used for Halibut, Cod etc.

It would be intersting to get some of these in front of a dhuie

 Anothr vote lunker city

Anothr vote lunker city paddletail SPs much tougher than Mcarthys ,pickers stuff them quickly ,LCs have a really good action  due to big paddle , I was very impressed with them , placed a large order 24 packets of 6 and 8 inch Shaker style  ,over $300 including postage through their website lunkercity.com saved about 10 to 12 dollars a packet on them , they have a huge range of colours sizes and types !

You can order from them via link on site , just wait for postage details to be emailed back to you , you would want to place a min of 10 packets to be worthwhile , but certainly much tougher than mcarthys and the jewies smash them , theu have a much better action than te mcarthys due to the very large paddle tail, they are working just drifting along , check them out .
