Penn Slammer braid amount Help

Hey guys, I have a penn slammer 760 and have 330yrds of 25lb mono on it. ANd was wondering how much 20lb braid I could fit on it?
Anyone have one with 20lb braid on it that can tell me how much they fitted on?
I am thinking of getting a second one for using as a jigging/spinning/ heavy duty reel for up north.

Heaps! Such a big reel like that you should get 50lb or the 460/560 reel even. You could fit 300 yards of 50lb braid of most brands on the 560 size.

I've heard it can take 470

I've heard it can take 470 yards of 50lb braid but it really comes down to diameter, or PE rating. I reckon you could fit that much though with the pricy PE braids. Either way you will fit a ridiculous amount of 20lb braid on it! Like I said, considering the smaller slammers will fit a full 300 yard spool of 30lb braid you're better off getting one of them. I just fit 300 yards of 20lb braid on my 360.

Yeah like Vinesh said, if you already have it use 50lb braid or 65lb even. Being for Pelagics 50lb would be my pick.

check this video out. Fast forward to 5:10 on the video below and listen to the line sing. That's a 760 and even with that fish hey had heaps of line.
