just putting this out there has anyone had any bad issues with this unit, the wifes treating me for christmas, i thought it was good value for money and comes with gold card!

they are OK for the money
just make sure you get the 50/200 transducer instead of the 83/200 transducer more commonly available. If you have to pay a bit more, do it. And just down the track you will see the HDS 7 Chirp on special for not much more than you paid for the HDI

GO the HDS 7 over the elite- The Elite has not bottom lock feature on it....
