Light beach reel

Hey guys I'm looking at buying light beach reel I'm thinking a stradic fj 5000 as I do like them but have seen the penn battle 2 and conflict 4000 which are about same weight but a lot cheaper was wondering if any one has used them and if they a really cheaper in build it will go on a 3 to 6 kg 10ft rod for whiting herring tailor or salmon if they take the bait lol thanks for any help

Man up and buy the FJ, you won't be disappointed. Now that you've considered the FJ settling for something less will leave you wondering what would have been if you had of just bought it.

I have various sized stradics and they are a great reel, but if your budget doesnt get there then it is no big deal just get the others you mentioned, at the end of the day the fish don't care what reel you have especially whiting herring tailor etc.

Got the young fella a Stradic Ci4+ 4000 beautiful reel, nicely weighted with a Daiwa Seabass. He's been using that for Hezza's ,Tailor etc. Casts well and has the grunt if something half decent comes along.

I have got the fj in a few sizes and I love them but was just seeing if others had used the penn reels and as it will be only used on the beach though if they are just as good but 50 to 80 bucks cheaper that's better as its the braid to go on it also but if they are cheaper in feel as well I'd prefer to just get the fj I have a ci4 in the 1000 lovely reel but I don't think it's worth the extra money but that's just me
