JRC FF 50

So I've just brought a new boat and it's got a jrc ff50 with the airmar 200/50khz transducer on it. I was just wondering if any one has got a jrc ff50 and knows how it goes in deep water 200+.? I haven't had the chance to get out there and give it a test run just yet as my missus is due to have baby number 3 in just over a week. As the ban is coming up I don't think I will be getting out there until Christmas time, so was hoping someone could give us a bit of info. Also what settings you found that were the best for picking up ground?. Cheers Gleno

Reduction on 1. Lift gain right up . Use bottom lock ( one with crayfish on h/ definition )I pick up bottom at fads no probs. also picks up fish no probs. even set your range at 20 m on h/d normal( full screen). Then use shift key until you pick up bottom. Adjust gain accordingly . I've always used one . Not as good as furuno but up there in my books. Mate has one with 1 kW really good. I only use p66
