I put one in about 3 months ago and it gets used quite regulary when on the boat. Have had no problems with it and the pressure is ample I have the same one as you are looking at. Its very easy to install.

Used on on a boat I was operating

for a few years and no dramas. Took a bit to get sand off the carpet though. Nothing that a bit of perseverance didn't fix.

 I have a Johnson about

Fri, 2014-11-28 15:33

I have a Johnson about the same size.  Only word of advice, don't operate it if you have run the bow onto the beach.  They're a bugger to clean if you suck sand into the diaphragm.

Only the one that comes with

Only the one that comes with it.  Perhaps consider an extra one?  Perhaps others may be able to advise on their effectiveness.  Mind you, it will only happen once...  and is fixed by a clean out.  It's just a pain to pull the whole thing apart.
