How about some of the potters

Fri, 2011-12-09 16:58

How about some of the potters put some decent easy to spot floats on their pots out there and not some scungy 2 liter milk flagons!

Where/who does one send the bill for a new propellor due to having badly marked pots in a major boating channel to a marina!

Take pics of the offending rope and floats, the ID must be visible in the pics plus the lats and longs from your Gps proving they were set in a marked navigation channel and drop in in to either Dept of Transport at Hilliarys or Freo or any Fisheries dept.

Apparently some was caught

Sat, 2011-12-10 11:06

Apparently some was caught this morning.

They had literally their head ripped off at the boat ramp and were taken to hospital via ambulance. Not in a good state.

People are now watching from shore and boats.

Is it worth it if he gets charged with assault and gets a record over a crayfish?

I can understand the rage but there is surely no legal right to bash someone over stealing crays, not that they don't deserve it

All this for a few lousy crays worth sfa.

Sad!

Fuck today's society - I'm so

Sat, 2011-12-10 13:12

Fuck today's society - I'm so sick of seeing weak piss-ant crims getting away with slaps on the wrist.

Whether it be cray pots, someone's house, a bag of lollies or an old lady's handbag, there's just no respect left for other people or their property.

The world would be a better place if there was a real fear of punishment.

There's too many rules made up by weak-as-piss do-gooders that read too many books, and base all their decisions on unfounded theory.

$25k fine ?  Chances are it'd be paid with drug money / hocked stolen goods - if at all.

And a few crays worth SFA ?

It ain't just the crays  - it's the time & effort people put in to earn the privilege of being able to put a few pots in.

People work hard enough as it is to have to suffer the frustration of being shafted when they're trying to live a little - doing something they work hard to do.

The bloke who snotted him was probably hanging out for the weekend to arrive !

I'd bet any poll on whether the bloke who bashed the cray thief should get let off or not would be weighted heavily for him to get off.

Like me, people have had a gut full.

I gave my 6yr old kid the ok to snot the little f#cker that keeps hiding his lunch last week - the bullshit punishments handed out by the teachers was doing sweet FA.

Bang, cop that.............. he won't do it again.

And I'll back him up 100% if/when it happens.

Rant not aimed (totally) at you Glas, just the system in general - but comments like will alway get a bite from me

Sat, 2011-12-10 22:45

Dizzy, I am with you but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,If you like it or not, you simply cannot start knocking people in hospital for stealing/ lifting a few cray pots,.............................................. (sadly) without being hauled before the courts and be responsible for ALL damages caused if you do!

The current laws are an ass.

Mon, 2011-12-12 10:22

That just reiterates what I'm saying Glas.

Yes, I know we can't issue corporal punishment - but only because the laws say so.

Yes, the laws are an ass.

Which is why people have had a gut full of it all.

I know I'm not alone when I think "F#ck YES" after watching / reading a news story about Joe Public fighting back.

Unwanted dive buddies this cray season

Mon, 2011-12-12 09:41

Saw some champions the other day driving along ( in a pretty flash boat too) and diving all the cray pot floats off bunbury, i cruised up to a spot jumped over and when i surface there are 3 boats right on top of me ! I moved a mile or two away same thing happens again - exact same cray pot diving legends . The next dive i just jumped over on abig sand flat to test my theory and had  3 losers all drop their picks right next to me and dive in . Must be getting extra desperate this year , are we allowed to name and shame these parasites on the forum ?
