Annual Quobba trip!!!!!

Leaving for quobba in afew days time, everythings packed besides the fishing gear which im packing soon with the old man just adding 1 or 2 more things to our weapons before we go. just wanting to know what its like up there at the moments, swell winds and most importantly how the fishing is, last year i used sea breeze to tell me the swells ,tides and what not and for once it was completely out of wack so if you could clarify how it is would be good:)

cheers guys:)

they can predict all they want mate.nothing tells you like it is until you wake up in the morning and have a look...
that being said, the forecasts have been pretty spot on lately. you will get into some fish....not many blokes balooning at the moment which is strange

Buoyweather.com < very good for swell and pretty good for winds but u only get 2 days in advance unless you pay for it i know a lot of guys who says its worth everypenny

bom.com.au < good for winds

i only use seabreeze as a rough estiamte like if i see it looks perfect on seabreeze then usually it wont be far of so i double check with those two.

But then again seeing it first hand always beets any website :) have fun up there and hope u get some mad fish

Hey mate love that place go every year Tim and Sara are awesome people. If I can give you some advise fish hard at the boundary we did last year and caught amazing fish fom tuna to mackies big pinkys and spanglies big blue bone we were Evan lucky enough to get 2 sailfish one was cut and released at the cliff base the other was sharked by a 12ft tiger what was left made for good pics, and if pos get hold off hydrogen it floats a lot better in the lighter winds allows a lot more fishing. Im skipping quobba this year off to coral bay in 2 weeks with my boat so happy fishing and stay safe on the cliffs

Sun, 2012-05-20 19:38

Hi Zack finally able to get on. We have been full on fishing the last two days and have done awesome. The weather up here at the moment is glorious and looks like we'll get two more days of it. Best catch so far is a 9 kg Cobia yesterday trolling the Xrap. Also got another today on my 8kg outfit with a floating mulie 6kg. We have just about covered the field with good Reds, Rankins Macks and Spanglies. Will post the report when we get back.
