yeah been watching it over the last few days, tonites BOM looks better, probably take off tomorrow when the SE drops off and stay over til monday/tues morning. Just me and my daughter.
Bit of fishing and exploring. Always wanted to go to Gun Island as Ive had an interest in the old wreck sites etc.
sure did-dropped the pick behind the guano jetty and walked almost all around the island. Fascinating for the historical interest I have in the wrecks.
Next would like to get to the wreck site for a look, but that will be with adults as it needs to be on a low swell day.
The yammy 115 ran faultlessly as always-though I was interested in JNG's 140 Suz as the boat could do with a little more puff when carrying a heavy load on a long trip.
250 litres fuel, 100 litres water, 2 people, swags, eskys, kill tank 100 litres, cooking gear etc.
Last time over there we had no camping gear as we towed the boat to Wallabies but 6 blokes, 4 sets dive gear and full fuel tank plus 2 large eskys of ice came to easily 1000kgs+, then she works a little harder, but still does the job easily enough.

yes this is taken outside the harbour-cos of the "rules" they had to be filletted before landing.
Squiding was good til HE crashed the party! boy that one tasted good-look close!
Total of 110 litres burnt for 107 nm covered-less than half a tank on the old TC!
