Abrolhos Trip Next Month

Hey Fellas
So late next month we embark on our first trip to the Abrolhos Islands, Ive been doing alot of research and reading stories from all the guys that have been over to the Islands and picked up a lot of good points and tips. We are planning to go anywhere up to about 6 days over there depending on weather of course.
I wanted to see if anyone could give me any tips on where to go snorkelling.. Wouldnt mind getting a cray!! Also can anyone tell me can you get reds at the back of the island in 80 - 90 metres? I have heard that you can but cant find too much info

Was out there about the same time last year, but at the northern group. There were a couple of reds caught, but would suspect they would mainly be from the north.
Plenty of coral trout to be had tho, dont be afraid to drift through shallower water over reef, say 4-12m of water, bouncing plastics across the reef. you will get plenty of baldies and trout.
As for crays, we got crays right up against the side of a small island. Litterally could stand and theyw ere jammed under a ledge (got 6 out)
Also got a couple free diving in 4-5m of water on the snare. On the west side of the islands inside the reef, so was well protected. Saw quite a few but onyl had a crack at 4 or 5 of them.
Some of the best fishing is in shallow. we got Baldies to 6 odd kilo and pinks about the same size in 6m of water and trout up over 60cm in 12m of water. Also speared a trout or 2 in 4-5m of water that were 60+

Hey Vin should bring your Preston up for a trip!! haha yeah we are planning on doing a couple of trips this year, doing this one in a month or so and then try and do a couple more.
Ive done dirk hartog on my boat last year. Stayed over on the island for 5 days... OMFG we went at the wrong time and coming back had 2 metre swell in the bay.....LOOONNNGGG trip back from turtle bay!!
