Abrohols Help

Okay this will be a long one...

You see i have a relly with conections in gero to a sailing club, they bought a cray boat as a "support boat", and they also sometimes use for fishing the abroholos, in the future there may be a chance he'll ask me to come along to the abroholos, im 14 and have an overhead for trolling and bottom bouncing (braid though), a nice small combo 3-7kg whiting rod, a Soft Placky rod -> slinghsot, and am getting a plfeuger salt 50/60 for jigging and poppering, lures etc,. also got a fly rod, 7wt i think. I would have $100 bucks to buy lures, jigs, SP's hooks, sinkers leader etc, already have trolling lures though. Im not sure where or how we would fish, but what are the items you would take if you only had around $100-150 bucks,  (give i already have rods etc.).

So what would the top items i would take if i only had 100-150 bucks. Things like leader, SP's,lures, jigs, lucanas jigs, basically the must haves, and also things like leaders, i have 10, 14, 1nd 25lb, Basically the top items you would take to fish the bottom, and topwater at the abrholos.

Sorry bout the vagueness, it might not even happen, but i want to be prepared if it does.

unless they are hard core fishos into jigging SP's etc just take the usual lures and make up some pater rigs and sinkers.

8.0's or so.

Pretty much whatever you have will catch something with 10kg line or heavier.

If you need to ask then go the basics....... Plenty of chrome slices, richter plugs and Halco bibbed minnows. Hooks in the 5/0 to 8/0 and don't spend up on fluro carbon leader ........ There's plenty of fish there.

Consider getting a few spools of extra line.

I look forward to you trip report.

With budget in mind,Bring

With budget in mind,

  1. Bring your home made jigs / metal slices as jigs and top water lures
  2. Zman Soft plastics as they are cheaper to lose the the toothy critters and last longer, I lost a dozen jigs to mackerals last week
  3. Jigheads
  4. 1 Shimano Ocea Stickbait in the floating & sinking models each ( provided you have the gear to cast them)
  5. Halco Lazer Pros 160 & 190 for trolling.
