LEver or star, I would say
LEver or star, I would say the new Trinidads would be worth a look. Something in the 12 size casts really well and is a much nicer reel to use that the old 400 (i have still got 2 of them but long since retired). 1500 ocea jigger narrow is really nice as well in the lightish category.

Daiwa Ryoga Bay Jigger gets my vote :D Will need to purchase online from Japan though.
I want one bad but I will have to wait until my trusty old Abu gives up the ghost...

What are you using it for? More casting or more bottom bashing type stuff?

Pluton
I have a daiwa Pluton 200 which is quality. Has level wind and magnetic cast control.
But the Luna 300 is good, and the calcutta's are solid as well.
But overall the pluton gets my vote.

Im with Brad here
Sounds like great value to get 20yrs out of any reel. Then why wouldnt you stick with it. And a calcutta is tough as nails IMO. Then it depends if you want a new low profile or not, but with the traditional shape IMO nothing better or tougher than a calcutta. Just look how long yours have lasted.
