Thanks Drew & Crew

Sun, 2014-01-19 19:00

For a great day and a well run operation.

Nine of us went out this morning fishing north of Rotto in various depths. The morning started off fairly slow with some small fish but built up slowly with some nice sized fish towards mid afternoon. Most of them caught by Steve. I think he ended up with our first legal snapper, KGW, Black Arse, Baldy, Harlequin and Dhuie. Not monsters but very nice sizes all the same. I'm not sure how many were caught though do know there was 2 legal sized Dhuies, 2 Baldies, 3 harlequins, a fox fish, 3 or 4 Black arses, a flathead as well as numerous other cods and parrot fishes. Sorry I didn't take any photos but I'm sure some of the others did.

Some undersized dhuies and snappers were caught and sent back down and when 1 dhuie resurfaced one of the deckies jumped in to retrieve it and send it back down once more. Drew definitly has them trained right and even has his young son, Toby training up right, collecting the fish, making sure we had fresh bait and even helping with the scrub down at the end of the day.

Thanks again.

Frank
